Yes of course you can compare the company against peers and it should when it comes to fundamentals. I am absolutely with you on that! compare revenue, market share and market share growth rates, new products/disruptive innovation, company governance management, ethics, etc. Yes.
I was referring to SP low, mid, high target valuations. The targets need to follow the same formulas as ALL stocks.
Valuations should NOT be based of... "Hey they're $150 bux and we're $7; so we should be $100...". because $150 is not justifiable when applied to established historically justified valuation formulas giving the 3 targets.
