That 7 % will be short lived as the customer churn will be significant as consumers wise up to the $1 convenience fee. On a $100 purchase that's the equivalent of 50 percent annualised interest and people will soon realise they are better off using credit card and paying off the full balance in six to eight weeks with no interest charge.
