I find the house is never decent, irrespective of price. Aussies don’t care about a quality build. They just want it to look Metricon good Mateeeee. no double/triple glazing, no thought to the climate of the area, or positioning.

I’ve gone into peoples houses where they have to wear jumpers inside in the winter because they’re too cheap to keep heating on, and the house doesn’t retain the heat anyway. Or they go for split systems everywhere because they don’t want to pay extra for ducting. Then they turn their garage into another bedroom and park all over the street and lawn. That’s another fkd thing.
