As we both know, if the situation arose, it would be the unpleasant task of the clear eyed new CEO and the independent Chair to convince the founders to put the best interests of the company first and take something, rather than hang on to the threads of the business in the gain hope that it could prosper. But that is only if somebody was prepared to make an offer to take it over, which I think is unlikely.
