I see their point though. It anyone can now use Zip Pay at any merchant without said merchant being signed up to Zip - why would that merchant sign up to Zip?? That's what the analyst noted, that there will be a movement from higher transaction margins to lower margins now.
Thoughts? I mean, if I was a shop owner and Zip offered Zip Pay, why would I sign up to Zip - it can be used at my store now anyway....
