Personally I'd prefer that they have a launch where it performs better than expected and with more features than a release which is a few months early. You only get one 'first impression' (Expect for the obvious people involved with testing)
I would have also liked more information as well, besides the anecdotal things we are picking up here.
We know the satisfaction was quite high during testing and since then they've fixed bugs, added features and improved performance.
