'Back when I started, there was one drug, now there's 15 drugs approved for kidney cancer. So the field has undergone several round of amazing revolutions in the field.'

'I think right now advanced imaging is very exciting, we have several tracers that can help us understand the tumor biology before treatment. We're on the cusp of probably the first useful adjuvant agent, the immuno-oncology agents.'

'We expect that there will be probably a whole host of them coming to help patients in high risk of recurrence. On the horizon there's several predictive or prognotic biomarkers we expect will help us understand and guide treatment.'

'We've been very envious of our colleagues in breast cancer and prostate cancer where we have molecular guided diagnostic tools which can help us understand recurrence, help us predict who's going to be best treated with one drug or the other.'

'I think in the next year or two we're going to start to see these hit the market, as they are in development from several companies which a track record in this space.'
