Thinking likie a contrarian for a minute....
Rio has a number of committed expenditures in the billion plus range already announced - Pilbara expansion, and Riversdale, plus the Alcan plant upgrades.
It is possible that their dance card is already full for next year.
It is also possible that they can see another two clear years of planning & development at Husab before they HAVE to commit. Plenty of time for further share price weakness to emerge.
I hope I am wrong - because the earlier they do commit, the sooner we get our final paycheck.
