HIGH PRIORITY NICKEL SULPHIDE TARGET CONFIRMED AT BARDOC
The Directors of Halcyon Group Ltd (ASX:HCY) are pleased to announce that the downhole
electromagnetic (DHEM) survey of existing basal contact drill holes utilizing “BField”
probe technology has confirmed one of the existing off-hole conductors making
this a high priority nickel sulphide target at the company’s Bardoc Project. Drilling to
test this target will commence immediately.
The ground transient electromagnetic (TEM) survey over the entire 13kms of the basal
contact with the “B-Field” probe is due to commence later this month. This will see an
additional 34 line kilometres of TEM coverage which is more than double that previously
surveyed and will therefore increase the chance of discovering nickel sulphide
mineralisation. Upon completion of the TEM program the results are likely to generate
new targets that will be ready to drill test in February.
The results from the current drill program and the planned geophysical survey will be
made available at the earliest opportunity.
This work is part of the recently formed joint venture, where by Minara Resources
Limited (ASX:MRE) earn up to 70% of the nickel rights on the project.
