Apparentl there was a split between the management of KCM over Mt Kare in Q3 of 2010 and after a JV agreement had been signed with IDC.
Apparently the KCM MD was very pro the JV with IDC.
That would be Gavin Thomas.
Gavin is a really top exploration geologist with a huge reputation in PNG (try Lihir) and had the rest of the maagment of KCM listened to Gavins experience in PNG it would have been a terrific outcome.
As it was, and appears, IDC was left to develop the project on its own.
