Subject to ASX Listing Rule 17.2 MXL Limited (“the Company”) requests that the
Company’s securities be placed into voluntary suspension.
The Company requests a voluntary suspension as it continues to seek clarification
surrounding one of the tenders in which it is currently involved.

It is expected that the Company will release an announcement by Wednesday 7
September 2005. That announcement will be expected to lift the voluntary
suspension.
The Company is not aware of any reason why the voluntary suspension should n
be granted.
