If the BOP has blown then the drilling and the well are totally out of control....WE DON'T WANT THAT!!!!!!
Bottom hole drilling and casing takes time because the distance up and down with the drill string takes ages.... it takes up to 24 hours one way out of the hole to change a drill bit... then 24 back in.... then the casing takes longer to put in so you don't damage the hole....
Then you gotta set up a wireline test package and test over a few days....
What I'm saying is..... relax, the deeper you go you multiples the time taken by factors of 2, then 4, then 6....etc etc etc.....
The rigs still on location for a good reason, I believe.
