Anna, now there are two types of victims in the papers...victims of the flood and victims of your governing...maybe even 3 types, the third being victims of you rally for money. The contributors to the flood relief truly thought that their money would go straight to anyone who needed it for their house...roof...stumps...vehicles...backyards to be liveable...verandahs....interior gyprock....floors....
But no. If you have no gas, electricity etc - bad luck if you have $7K saved and tied up. Bad luck if you are one of a couple and your income is $500 per week (25K p/a).
This is almost a scam and i expect a court case of some kind.
