Secondly,why did the qld govt allow cougar to inject millions of dollars into the pilot operation in the first place if the UCG is so toxic? It seems like a political exercise in this time of elections. I thought labour wanted cleaner coal technology. Now a sudden backflip. I am confused. I thought UCG was the cleaner alternative.
I hope the farmers are ill informed, and ignorant to the UCG technology and getting confused with the CSG process.
Does Cougar have a rep at these Kingaroy meetings to help calm these concerned and paranoid farmers?
