I do fear for you Anna as I have been through that dreadful experience a few times now,
The last driving lesson was with my daughter Georgina.
I sat myself in the passenger seat determined to be super cool but still feeling very nervous and vulnerable,
Things started out OK with only one slight problem showing up, she kept rolling through the white lines at intersections
After continually wiping the sweat from the palm of my hands raising saliva to my dry mouth , I explained the problem often as calmly as I could
The problem continued
We were approaching a blind intersection anticipating the problem, I mentioned calmly to stop at the curb alignment then reaffirmed that again
Stop at the kerb line ,
Don’t forget to Stop,
Stop soon , Stop
STOP.
The car pulled up in the middle of a busy intersection often used by big trucks going to a quarry ,
She then said there is no need to shout Dad ,
as I removed myself from under the glove box I retorted no need to try to kill me either ,
She did not speak to me for some time, but fortunately enrolled for driving lessons
