Greg Withers quit his $220,000-a-year job yesterday, two months after Queensland voters dumped his wife Anna Bligh and two weeks after the Newman Government closed the Climate Change Office he had headed since 2007.
Mr Withers was then given the task of winding back climate-related programs created under his stewardship, which the Government argued had been made redundant by the Gillard Government's incoming carbon tax.
