I don't know how much the pumps can handle on the water grid. That pipeline was to drought proof the region, not mitigate flood, so I'm guessing the quantity would be a freckle compared to the inflow.
Logan, Albert and Coomera rivers haven't been able to cope too, so sending more water from Brissy just transfers misery for some.
