I found it interesting that an interpretation by Australis Aquarii using scientific studies into near death experiences cross referenced with the Tibetan Book of the Dead came to a chilling conclusion about the soul in a nuclear attack. Basically it said that a soul is annihilated i.e. Nirvana, if the person is vapourised by a nuclear bomb. The report says that a person will not go to heaven, but will be destroyed forever.
