I guess that the reality is that mining operations continues to underperform for whatever reasons and that it is entirely possible that the vultures could even be circling now. Things will have to improve a lot in the near future or the hedge book will drown them if it already has not. Great story, terrible outcome.
Once again it reinforces that the use of stop losses in trading can be a good thing. I don't own HIG.
