The drilling of this well has been terrible. Not sure how much of this is COE's fault. It's inevitable that things will go wrong during drilling and testing but if things just will not stop going wrong, there is usually a root cause that goes beyond bad luck.
It's good to see the well flowing at 400 bblds/day though. That oil is heavier than I was expecting which is not so good, and well obviously needs time to clean up. Keep in mind that the entire time since the first kick, they have been trying to damage the formation as much as possible to keep the well under control. It will take time to reverse that.
The well is still flowing back drilling fluid so to be getting peak rates up to 1700 bpd is good. After acid this thing should comfortably do 2000-plus bpd IMO.
