ellendale 17 diamond sampling
ASX RELEASE 29 June 2005 ELLENDALE 17 DIAMOND SAMPLING Conquest Mining Limited (“Conquest”) (ASX Code: CQT) advises that the company has completed the second stage of HMS bulk sampling for diamonds at its Ellendale 17 diamond project in the West Kimberley region of Western Australia. The first stage, conducted in the second half of 2004, represented approximately 15% of planned test work whilst this second and final stage completes the HMS processing of the majority of the material to be sampled. The systematic drilling and sampling program was designed to test for macrodiamond distribution throughout the Ellendale 17 olivine lamproite in order to quantify and classify diamond resources using JORC compliant methodologies. Conquest aims to recover +1mm diamonds for valuation purposes and to assign grades to all of the geological domains within Ellendale 17. A total of 24 large diameter drill holes for 896.5 metres were completed in November 2004 to yield approximately 2,500 tonnes of material for diamond sampling. In total 1,980 tons has been treated and approximately 260 tons of oversized material has been re-crushed and processed. HMS concentrates have been delivered to a laboratory in Perth and further reduction of sample material using conventional milling and fusion techniques will be undertaken prior to sizing and observing individual particles for diamonds. Results are anticipated to be available early in the 3rd quarter of 2005. Ellendale 17 is situated within the Ellendale diamond field approximately 15 km NE of the Kimberley Diamond Company Ltd Ellendale 9 mine and 25 km north of Ellendale 4. Conquest Mining Limited is an ASX-listed multi-commodity explorer. Conquest’s key business interests include diamond exploration in the East and West Kimberley and precious and base metal exploration east of Charters Towers, Queensland. J TERPU Managing Director
