Summary and Outlook
Notwithstanding slow laboratory turnaround of assay results, the overall EBSP is, to date, achieving all its
key physical targets. The Company has been advised that assay results for the outstanding chip samples
and the majority of the bulk samples can be expected within the next few weeks. The final results for the
metallurgical samples are now anticipated by mid-July 2007.
In summary, the results received to date have:
„h confirmed the size and position of the quartz reef structures within the Eureka Dyke Bulge,
reinforcing the integrity of the Eureka Geological Model;
„h established the continuity of mineralisation within the reef structures, with channel sampling
demonstrating that the reefs are continuously mineralised over the entire length of the strike drives
completed;
„h shown average grades in excess of 9 g/t Au over significant and continuously mineralised strike
lengths ¡V the best of which was 94 metres at 9.7g/t Au which includes 30 metres at 24g/t Au;
„h demonstrated mineralised widths ranging between 0.5 ¡V 2.1 metres and host peak grades of up to
170g/t Au as expected with this style of mineralisation;
„h provided important insights into the optimum mining extraction method for the reefs given the grade
range and distribution being exhibited within the reefs and surrounding wallrock material; and
„h confirmed the presence of significant high-grade mineralisation within the dyke and sediment
material surrounding the reefs as well as in a series of cross-cutting horizontal veins adjacent to the
main reefs. This material may possibly be extracted once mining commences based on the
encouraging results to date.
Goldstar¡¦s Managing Director, Mr Andrew King, said: ¡§We are very pleased with the results we are
seeing so far from Eureka, which have confirmed the validity of the Eureka Geological Model,
demonstrated the continuity of mineralisation within the high-grade reef structures and highlighted the
4
mining potential of these high-grade reefs. We now have a very busy period ahead of us with receipt and
collation of the bulk and metallurgical sample results, commencement of the final underground drilling
program and completion of the Eureka Mining Feasibility Study.
¡§Subject to any unexpected delays, we expect to complete this study during the second half of 2007 and
make a decision to proceed with development of the Eureka Project before the end of the year,¡¨ he
added. ¡§This will position us to move into production at Eureka during 2008 representing our first gold
production hub at Walhalla. In parallel with this, we will move to a bulk sampling phase and
commencement of a Mining Feasibility Study on the Tubal Cain Project, where surface drilling is
currently underway.¡¨
