I believe that a possible take over would have a target range for the share price for the time of the take over.

Im not sure about this surges. I would think any takeover price would have to be at multiples of the current shareprice, so what's a few points here or there in the current shareprice going to achieve? As an investor, I am not accepting a takeover offer unless it is multiples. I don't really care if the shareprice is 5c or 7c at the time.
