I would agree with this assessment of a take over of an established company. There would be definately large interest beforehand.

A take over of a small tech company without revenue and
no product line as such would have to come about in a different fashion.

3M likes to acquire early and OBJ might just have what they want.
If the do, 3M would act now rather than later, thats my conviction since long time.
Since there is interest from other large companies, an early take over would guarantee dominance in the market with a new technology. The world leader in transdermal deliveries will protect its position.

All in all, your arguments are strong and you just might be right.

The current situation leaves us with extreme solutions only to explain to what is going on.
