If it was man who had decided to sell stocks in the company, the people surrounding him would have called him an absolute idiot and to take out a loan instead. (and they of course would know, no CEO would sell all their stocks before at least casually telling directors they're working with). 99% sure she got away with this because those surrounding her were too scared to criticise, because she is a woman and its politically incorrect to tell a woman she's being an idiot, even when she is, like the CEO of this company.
