You may recall that back on July 4 when ethics committee approval ffor the novosorb study in humans was first announced, the statement was made "The study is planned to start in Q4 2011, further information will be communicated to the market before commencing patient recruitment."

Then on October 6, the preliminary BTM safety study results were announced, with a results of a further three months testing to be announced in January. there was no mention of the start of the BTM clinical studies, and no indication that they would have to await the completion of the safety studies, either.

Then October 17 results of the synthetic skin studies in animals was released, apparently opening the way for human trials, but again, no mention of the BTM trials due to start soon.

And so we wait. This ought to be imminent.

Also, you are right, these trials ought not to be prolonged. And one would hope that there would be a move quickly into the skin component of the burns treatment process.

Needless to say the worldwide market for this will be enormous, to say nothing of the suffering and disfigurement that will be alleviated.
