Your above quote doesn't inspire a lot of confidence for the offer being close to the current share price.

A reason for the offer being taken up in a heart beat could be because the large instos got a great discount to the current price.

Put yourself in the large instos boots for a moment.

Also let me be totally honest with my position. I do not currently hold PBI, but think it could be a real goer in a year or two. I'd certainly consider buying in but right now I'm just watching and waiting as my money is in other places for now.
