My guess is that whoever bought into NEN last week in big volumes is buying the company as a shell to make use of tax losses etc. NEN has only 1 'asset' - the small block in the Carnarvon offshore that is worthless and has some significant expenditure commitment. The 'database' other talk about is probably from open-file data anyway and wouldn't be of any value.
Has anyone else noticed that the NEN website is 'being updated' seems odd in this day and age that you wouldn't make the changes offline then upload.
I just hope that the CEO doesn't get a payout....
