Xstrata plans next billion-investment London 05.06.2007 (www.emfis.com/www.rohstoffe go.de) the mine operator Xstrata PLC communicated today to want to invest several billion US dollar in order to remove by acquisitions its copper section. Only in the past year Xstrata transferred the Falconbridge Ltd. for 17 billion USD. Xstrata looks for at present projects with an annual production between 150.000 and 300.000 tons of Kuper. The Rally with the metal prices caused assumptions of 79 billion USD in this year already. In the past year with fusions and assumptions 182 billion USD were converted.
