Spot on Giddyup - this is where there is some conjecture as to whether this is "games" or as I see it, just a trading position.
For example - if I borrow stock from X for say 10% - normally I will also need to lodge collateral. Then I need to sell that stock (which I don't own) then buy it back later for less. If I don't - I still need to buy the stock back at a higher price or risk losing some collateral - plus of course pay the 10% fee!
So unless someone is taking a "position" and believes that NEN will not get a good result (which is still a possibility) - why would anyone do it?
There will always be buyers - so dumping stock to push the price down (again - I am not seeing that in the numbers) is a very dangerous move as there is no guarantee you can buy it back (or enough back) to cover your position.
Anyway - I don't see this as "games" or "manipulation", just a trading position being taken at, particularly where NEN is at now, considerable risk!
