Alex Bajada

Alex Bajada is a graduate in economics from the University of Western Australia and undertook post-graduate research in economics at the University of Rochester, New York. Following a successful career in real estate and commercial property management, Mr Bajada worked in the stockbroking and corporate finance fields with two leading Perth stockbrokers, Morgan Stockbroking and Paterson Ord Minnett, between  1990 and 2000. He is currently a principal in the private investment banking firm, R.M.Capital Pty Ltd.

Mr Bajada has had a distinguished career in local government having been a Councillor and Deputy Mayor in one of Perth’s largest municipalities, the City of Melville and served as both a zone representative and president of the Local Government Association of Western  Australia. He was made a life member of the Local Government Association in 1998.

He has served as Director, Deputy Chairman and more recently, Chairman of the W.A Local Government Super Plan which manages funds in excess of $440 million on behalf of municipal authorities in Western Australia.

Mr Bajada was the West Australian representative on the National Economic Development Group (VROCS) and served as Chairman of this body from 1994 to 1997.

He is married with three children and resides in Perth, Western Australia.
