So you could have bought GMM a month ago (at 74c) have the company taken over and still lose money? It doesn't really jump out at me if it jumps 9.5% in a day.

Also for those sitting on bumper profits looking to hold for long term you many will now be liable for CGT.

I mean since when does a company get taken over with a manky 9.4% premium? But if you get the directors and a few major shareholders on board then normally it's a done deal. Unlikely to get a rival offer as well given the tie up between GMM and GXY.
