As a consequence of the Deepwater Horizon disaster, I believe we will see a greater frequency of juniors operating wells for majors.
It would be perceived as a win win for both parties. The junior operator can mobilise some resources through the major at discounted prices and on quicker timelines. The major gets less publicity (and liability) if there is a spill or if anything else goes wrong.
