It could be promsing for the surprise well that there are hydrocarbons showing at this stage, but I do have a queiry in reference to the gas shows.

At JW1, when they hit oil, it was hypothesised by a few that the lack of shows higher up the well was because the well had a good natural seal.

If that's the case, then the fact that there are hydrocarbons comeing out of the source formations at this stage might point towards the seal in Surprise might not being as good as at JW1.

I understand that having a good natural seal in the well is critical towards it being marketable.
