I have never seen an RFT with pump through capabilities. In my experience the MDT has the capability to pump through to obtain true formation samples and is used when pump samples are important, but as you are aware it is much more expensive than the RFT.
I agree that if they would have used an MDT then they would have pump through capabilities. I don't know whether they have used larger than standard sample chambers, they may very well have.
As a logging engineer you would agree though that they should be able to establish the formation flow capacity kh of the tested intervals very quickly ie within hours.
Also, my experience is you can get bad seals due to tight as a duck's arse permeability but I accept that it should never happen.
