While MEO is confident that the transaction will be finalised, the company cannot guarantee this outcome or the timing of completion of the transaction.

Why announce it then? Can't they wait until it's confirmed?

I'm a long term holder and still confident MEO will make something of themselves in the LNG/methanol space, but I really can't help that mgmt set themselves up to be accused of releasing P&D announcements.
