My feeling is that Ruane will eventually get it over the line. But he seems to be a one man band and is trying to everything himself. It was always going to be difficult to convince the Martu people as they are suspicious of outsiders.
Will Ruane be able to get them to trust him? Can he find someone from the indigenous community to champion RWD's cause?
This agreement has been 3+ years in the making - what's another 3-6 months more? At least they are still open to communicating and as long this remains, then we have a chance
