People stop stressing out.......I work for a biodiversity company which provides environmental studies/research to a lot of Mining, Gas & Rail Companies who have land in some very sensitive areas. This should not stop MNM. To put it simply; the Govt will ask for extra studies to prove that there is very little near threatened or threatened flora & fauna at risk, and even if there was anything that might be at risk, all they will have to do is put an environmental plan in place to ensure minimal harm occurs.
The Mining, Gas, & Rail Industries have priority in QLD above anything else and will have for the next 10 years.
There are a number of projects in QLD and SE QLD that have already been given the green tick, and are ploughing through areas that were supposedly never to be touched.
I am happy with the outcome, the proposed National Park is just a blip on the radar :)
