Hi Niqo,

I can indeed buy most shares on multiple exchanges. I think it has to do with all german exchanges being linked. I can also buy on one exchange and sell on another (albiet not at the same time as that breaks some rule). I dont think I can mix Xetra and normal exchange, but I can buy on frankfurt and sell on munich. Generally I tend to only buy and sell on xetra as it has higher volumes, and lower commissions.

I think the way it works is it is listed on an exchange (usually frankfurt and Xetra) and people can buy or sell them on the other exchanges although the shares are not officially traded on the other exchanges. I'll have to look into it some more.

I use brokerjet which is based in Austria and it lets me buy and sell on most large exchanges over the world. For some reason though I cant buy and sell australian shares on the asx via brokerjet which apparently has something to do with me being an australian resident. Ooh well I can do that in AU anyway.
