from egoli Australian Mines (AUZ) today announced assay results from the resources definition drilling below current workings at Blair nickel mine. The Western Australia based group reported that the result from underground hole AMUG175 is 9.25m @ 12.5% Ni from 88.1m to 97.35m (down hole) of massive nickel sulphides. The company added that the intersection, on the C01 lode at the 395mRL, confirms continuity of the nickel shoot structure at Blair and appears to coincide with a shallowing of the normally steep plunge. Australian Mines said that further drilling is currently in progress to confirm the nickel resources down to the 380mRL (50 metres below the current workings) with results expected to be announced before 30 June 2006.
