Thats the big issue when taking small profits before you are eligible for the 50% CGT discount. Of course traders try to make up for the lack of real (in your pocket profit) by doing volumes. Depending on your income the addition of CGT can be a yearly tax burden that could have the cat chasing its tail. Of course if its your only income then it matters not.
