Still here but like you Collsey, I don't see the point of endless 'debate' over how many shares will be available after consolidation; or whether consolidation is good or not. Just gives the usual suspect downrampers room to put the boot in once again, although I do notice they are being more careful with words, now HC has a defamation policy, as they subtly twist the facts on consolidation i.e. the statements of 'fact' such as "I've never seen a consolidation that worked, they have all cost me money" (or whatever the wordings are. I have seen consolidations that work. NWT (the Aussie Satellite company) is one case that springs to mind - they had 7 Billion shares on issue at one stage. What counts, imo, is the Assets owned by the company.
Besides, I have a life to live and just to read the comments gives me (a) a headache and (b) takes up a fair amount of time to read through - when I logged on at one stage yesterday, the homepage of HC stated 62 new postings for TTE.

In my opinion, it is a very good move by TTE and for TTE. I said as much some months ago, when someone suggested a consolidation. This (imo) will give the company more credibility and will get more serious investors interested.
The assets are still there - they do not change just because there is a share consolidation.

Sure, management have made mistakes....but who doesn't. To issue so many shares, so quickly was the biggest mistake of all - but did I predict what chaos that would cause?? (like the daily manipulation of the sp in our 'casino' of a sharemarket). No I did not. Have been in plenty of companies where the shares are measured in the Billions and whenever I brought that up on previous HC threads (of these companies) I was always shouted down by being told that all that mattered was the market cap.

The main point that gives me confidence that TTE is a LONG term hold or buy, apart from the assets as already mentioned, is the fact management have so much 'skin in the game' (as 'footy' often puts it and a point 'tui' has made in a posting prior to mine). You do not give a loan of $1 million to your company, expecting to lose it, for example.

So, for me, it is a case of buying more TTE shares. Only the timing is in doubt (in my mind) i.e. now? Or after consolidation? Or closer to consolidation as the manipulators of this stock try to do their dirty deeds?
Currently, I am tempted to type in the 'buy' order to the Commsec account on a daily basis but so far, have managed to hold off. It won't happen overnight but it will happen, as Rod Stewart's ex: used to say in her hair product advert.

This, by the way, is not financial advice, as I am not qualified to give it. It is merely a personal opinion, based on my own thoughts and investment strategies. DYOR everyone and make your own choices.

Anyway, that is my contribution of what has passed for 'debate' on the TTE consolidation. I will put my money where my big mouth is, thanks. TTE has some great assets and I want a LONG term slice of the action (still kicking myself after holding BRU and watching it go from around 30 cents to 65 cents in 2011 - at which point I sold out, thinking it was a nice profit and there was no way it would go further.
How wrong can you be! It went to around the $3 per share mark in the following 12 months). So as you can see, I am no genius - with BRU I made the mistake of taking my eye off the assets and instead, getting caught up in the sp action.
One valuable lesson learnt - buy for the fundamentals and do not let the 'noise' of this manipulated market steer you off a long term goal.
