MEC released a 2nd announcement today......
MEC Resources Limited (ASX:MMR) requests for a trading halt from the Australian Securities Exchange
(ASX) in accordance with Listing Rule 17.1 pending the announcement to be made regarding the article
released in the Sunday Telegraph on 1st June 2008. The announcement is currently being reviewed by the
relevant parties and will be released immediately once authorised.
MEC Resources is not aware of any reason why this trading halt should not be granted by the ASX.
