    Dear Sir
CITROFRESH INTERNATIONAL LIMITED (ASX Code CTF)
MARKET OPPORTUNITIES IN THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE HEALTH SECTOR
Citrofresh International owns the exclusive worldwide right to market and distribute the
Citrofresh range of products. Approval has been sought from The Therapeutic Goods
Administration (“TGA”) for use of Citrofresh products in the medical industry. TGA has
already approved the hand sanitiser product Derm-E-San and its approval for the remaining
Citrofresh products is anticipated in the near future.
Citrofresh is an organic biocidal product that is a hypoallergenic, a natural biocide and
viricide with a broad spectrum of sanitising characteristics.
    Citrofresh is:-
    • A completely natural organic non-toxic product
    • Acts in a similar manner to an antibiotic, even though it is not one
    • Is compatible with antibiotics
    • Germicide with a powerful broad spectrum, effective against bacteria, virus and fungi.
Does not irritate skin, eyes or mucous membranes of either humans or animals
    • Long residual effects even in the presence of extraneous organic matter table at pH
levels from 2 to 12 and temperatures up to 130°C
    • Does not attack metal and does not affect other materials or surfaces
    • Non-volatile and non-corrosive.
    • Retains its stability when exposed to light. Any change in colour of the product does
    not affect it's efficacy
    • Does not taint food or the environment
Citrofresh is extracted from the pith of oranges through a specialised process. The extract
contains a mixture of natural ingredients that, when combined, produce an extremely
    powerful anti-bacterial, anti-mould and anti-fungal agent.
The Citrofresh medical range of products have been developed to proactively eliminate,
control and reduce the incidences of virulent and microbial diseases which have become
immune to toxic based alternatives, including Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus,
    “MRSA” and VRE.
MRSA is a significant concern with respect to hospital acquired infections, be it pre or post
operative theatre procedures, general patient care and recovery. These resistant strains of
bacteria represent a significant cost to the public & private health sectors due to the
considerable time and effort required to cure infected patients and prevent further spread.
Hospital areas, particularly patient rooms treated with conventional methods commonly need
to be left vacant for a period of up to 6-8 hours (depending upon the chemical used) before a
patient can be transferred to that area or room. A patient who becomes exposed to MRSA
may have their hospital stay prolonged from days to a more extended period of time.
Citrofresh products have been independently tested to be microbiologically effective against
MRSA, VRE and most other pathogenic bacteria and have a major and positive influence on
controlling the problem. (San-E-Foam – a Citrofresh based detergent can also be used prior
to sanitising with Citrofresh in order to ensure that MRSA is eliminated at a dilution rate of
    5%.)
Pathogen resistance cannot occur with the use of Citrofresh as it completely destroys the
bacteria. When exposed to Citrofresh, bacteria experience membrane changes and
damaging due to penetration of the cell wall of the bacteria thereby destroying it. It is this
mechanism that is responsible for killing the bacteria and reducing bacterial growth, hence
    creating a germ free environment.
Existing Hospital practices are proving ineffective in dealing with MRSA. Incidences are rising
and the bacteria adapting and becoming resistant to the antibiotics utilized. A new proactive
approach is required which is more preventative than reactive. Citrofresh have developed a
medical range of products proven in laboratory tests to kill MRSA. The Citrofresh active
control program was developed to prevent the spread of MRSA, between patients, medical
staff and facilities, eliminating cross-contamination, the main cause of the spread of the
disease and the largest cost to the industry.
    Citrofresh MRSA Control Program entails;
    1. Decontamination of all surfaces. Operating Theatres, Intensive Care Units, Higher
Dependency Units, Post operative care wards, including all surfaces & equipment.
    2. Decontamination of medical personnel. Derm-E-San is a hand sanitizer which is
hypoallergenic and contains Citrofresh organic biocide. Derm-E-San kills MRSA and
provides a protective barrier which continues to do so for up to 2 hours.
    3. Decontamination of Patients. Citrofresh is added to bathing water, when the patient is
washed pre-surgery any bacteria present will be killed. Post surgery the patient should
again be washed before being moved to post operative care.
    SUMMARY
As a sanitiser, Citrofresh can be applied to walls, ceilings, floors, beds and any work surfaces
where pathogens or mould may be found. The bacterial growth is stopped on contact and
pathogens that may be present are killed.
Unlike chemical alternatives that are toxic, Citrofresh can also be applied safely to the skin
without any harmful side effects to the patient being treated. Problem bacteria like MRSA and
VRE can now be fully treated and eradicated with the regular use of Citrofresh.
Citrofresh can be used as an alternative to Chlorine and Chlorine based sanitisers,
Peroxides, Aldehydes, Quaternaries and Phenol’s. Doctors, Nurses and Orderlies can also
use and safely apply Citrofresh to hands and body when visiting patients during rounds in
order to prevent the carrying of infectious bacteria or disease between patients.
Citrofresh has achieved approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the New
Zealand Food Safety Authority (NZFSA), the Australian Quarantine Inspection Service
    (AQIS) and others.
