guys, either you are desperate rampers or just have problems reading. nothing new was announced today. bank approval was received two weeks ago. but as usual, afg has stuffed up, and not managed to complete anything to schedule. i mean seriously, how long does it take to put some paper work together and stamp it? the terms are the hardest part and they were agreed to a long time ago.
i sold my afg heads today. imo the market is going to be very disappointed with the results.
the loss will probably come in less than the $1.5bn, but the report will show underlying earnings have gone to crap. clarke clearly indicated than in an interview some time ago. they have not done any deals this half, and it will take years to turn the business around. that is why they don't want to give any forward guidance.
the media will be all over it with negative press, and i will re purchase back at 30c, because that is where she is headed.
