To my knowledge the only people on a rig who sign confidentiality clauses are generally the client reps and third party people.

All that aside even if everybody signed such agreements you've got up to 100 people with access to telephones and internet which isnt monitored at all. A bit hard stopping information leaking out under such circumstances.

Back in the late 90's when I worked in Bass Strait I used to chuckle at the number of people crowding the third party offices plugged into the net downloading the days ASX data onto their laptops....blackbox trading software was all the rage amongst the drill crews on most platforms.
