My take.

So far, most points have been deeper than prognosed...9-5/8" casing point at 3315.6m TVDss...according to the presentation schematic that would be 31m into the top NLS, but we know it was just above.

They are still in the top low porosity section of NLS @ 3508m TVDss which was prognosed to give way to the reservoir section of NLS @ 3400m.

Everything is a bit deeper than anticipated, hence the statement they are prepared to drill deeper if necessary.

IMO the reference to surrounding well control refers to Malampaya and/or Coron-1...telling us everything is still ok by comparison...perhaps more to do with Shell's knowledge of Malampaya.
