It wasn't 'commentary', it was FACT. The stock WAS in a downtrend, and the T/A correctly predicted this. A short would've been rather safe imo - if there hadn't been the surprise news out today, what do you think the SP would be?
"My point exactly FA is moving this stock today and in the end that is all that matters."
FA is moving it now, but we'll see at the day's close. And no, FA doesn't matter - the one and only thing that matters is the SHARE PRICE.
