Woodside putting the Browse Basin on hold, has meant that the planned $1.5 billion of benefits to flow on to the local Native Title holders over the next 30 years isn't happening.

That's $50,000,000 a year of flow on benefits that the locals are missing out on because of whatever it was that finally made Woodside put it all on hold.

I think it is important that the Native Title holders and the courts and everyone else involved expedite all the development opportunities in the regions because if they don't more and more companies will put things on hold and the local people will continue to miss out on all the benefits that exploration and development opportunities can bring.
