Just came across another FANTASTIC site as to acid stimulation in carbonates.

    http://www.slb.com/~/media/Files/resources/oilfield_review/ors03/win03/p28_45.pdf

Interesting points from the article included

    - This simple method of acid injection has led significant oil flows in fields that has run dry.
    - Limestone (carbonates) and dolimite oil fields are often very difficult to explore and present great challenges. Oil being present in commercial quantities may vary even in close proximities.
    - The oil may be in VERTICAL configurations (as in fractures) or lateral orientations BUT also intermingled with natural permiability barriers, many natural fractures and a vast array of perosity.

(These varaiations have been highlighted in many major OIL discoveries in Tunisia over the last 30 years where drilling oil in adjacent areas have been constantly misses and hits yet drilling was always in close proximities -ITS obvious that its a matter of hitting the really RICH sweet spots).

For now its not that the oil is not there in HW3, its a matter for drilling through the right spots.

With up to 850 metres of horizontal, I wouldn't rule out anything happening in terms of oil just flowing anytime soon.

And add any need of acid stimulation later on. Interesting time ahead for now.
Certainly overdue for at least some info as to IS any oil there. They have NOT said anything at all relating to 192 m of the previous oil column. Where was this oil???? column in any previous progress report?
